BIOGRAPHY
Growing up inĀ Louisville, Mississippi, I, Lashontrei Henton, was always inspired by a deep desire for education, entrepreneurship, and caregiving. My career began at East Mississippi Community College, where I received an Associate’s in Liberal Arts, laying the groundwork for my academic endeavors.
I pursued my education at Mississippi State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on business, technology, and communications. This multidisciplinary approach provided me with a diverse skill set, allowing me to confidently navigate many professional areas.
In 2013, I helped establish House of F.A.M.E. with my mother and two sisters, a daycare center dedicated to providing a loving atmosphere for young minds to thrive. As a teacher and caregiver at the center, I felt great satisfaction in promoting growth and learning in the children entrusted to us.
In addition to my position in childcare, I am a published author, best known for my captivating series, “The Caleb Book Series.” My literary works, with titles like “The Troublemakers” and “My Variety Child,” aim to stimulate young readers’ originality and humanity while enhancing their lives by storytelling.
My desire to have a positive influence extends beyond my professional endeavors. As a member of the Winston County Democratic Women, I actively participate in community advocacy and communication activities, aiming to empower voices and stimulate meaningful discussion on important matters.
I am currently in my final semester at the University of West Alabama’s Integrated Marketing Communications program, and my story displays resilience, enthusiasm, and an everlasting commitment to elevating others, and I am glad for the opportunity to continue making a difference in the lives of those around me.
